The Makers Collective Co. uses a store-within-a-store concept and operates on consignment. Because of this we do not charge customers tax, and instead charge a 13% processing fee on each transaction, which helps us pay for things like housekeeping, supplies and the hiring of trained sales associates. This processing fee also helps to keep the cost of rent down for vendors.
